The first session of the Total Summer School was held in July 2006 at the Total campus in Bougival, near Paris.

The one-week program, co-sponsored by our subsidiaries outside France, hosted 54 students from our target schools and universities in Europe, sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and North and South America.

During the weeklong course, students analyzed and discussed economics, geopolitics, the future of energy, climate change and corporate social responsibility, with the participation and input of 30 Total managers and outside experts. Some of the students will have an opportunity to extend their experience through internships and become part of Total’s recruitment pool.
